As with any voluntary and charitable organisation we are reliant on the goodwill, dedication and compassion of volunteers to help run our service.  Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organisation and without them, the service that we have would not run as smoothly and as well as it does.  Many of our volunteers have been with us for over 10 years and others merely a few weeks but their compassion, skills, empathy and desire to help others shines through.

Grantham Poverty Concern and Grantham Passage have no paid staff and this extends upto and including the board of Trustees.  Because of the lack of paid staff the donations and funds that we receive can go directly back into helping the people that need it most around the area.

Being a volunteer at the Passage can entail a number of things and each session is different.  For each session there are a number of roles that need to be fulfilled - helping to serve the clients, washing up, general duties, cooking the meals to name but a few.
